October 7, 2020

Five-Star Basketball Academy, a subsidiary of PacificPine Sports Group, announced the opening of Li Wan Youth Training Center in Guangzhou, a national hub of basketball and home of the Guangzhou Long Lions. Li Wan Youth Training Center is the newest addition to Five-Star Basketball Academy’s facilities offering beginner to elite basketball training, leagues, tournaments and events for basketball lovers.

The Li Wan Youth Training Center is Five-Star Basketball Academy’s 29th location in the Greater Bay Area and 58th locations in China. It brings PacificPine Sports' total locations to 68.

“We believe the game of basketball changes the lives of our students,” says Joseph Qi, CRO of PacificPine Sports Group. “In addition to building self-confidence and personal fitness, getting on the court with friends and teammates helps to relieve stress, improve emotional well-being and overall mental development. Our coaches possess the discipline and focus needed to demonstrate, instruct and elevate students to new levels.”

Li Wan Youth Training Center features a full-court with spectator seating, in a well trafficked area of Li Wan, a district of over 700,000 residents, conveniently located on Line 5 of the Guangzhou Metro with a bus terminal.

With a combined 100+ years of coaching experience, Five-Star Basketball Academy coaches will roll out their full curriculum for students ages 4+ for beginner, developmental, advanced and elite students within each age group. The facility will furthermore be used to host Five-Star Basketball Academy’s showcase events, including the 3v3Youth Player Tour, Ball-Out Basketball Camp and South China Showcase.

“Our training at all levels, abilities and ages are built around bettering students while engaging them in the love for the game,” Joel Haines, Co-CEO of PacificPine Sports, adds. “At Li Wan Youth Training Center, expect to see more than an elite training center, expect to see competition, both in game and in practice. The convenient, central location of Li Wan Youth Training Center brings it to the masses, promoting basketball development throughout Guangzhou and all of China.”
